Beta software notice

Last updated: April 30, 2026

Program upgrade authority

During beta, the vexo smart contract program retains an upgrade authority — a wallet with the cryptographic ability to deploy new program versions.

Current upgrade authority:

6Q1XS5pVa8gEKxrfPXpaAymiZ6pasze8eL47ArXyAopz

This means during beta: the program logic can be changed, account data structures could change, and fee parameters could be updated. Any upgrade is a transaction publicly visible on Solana Explorer.

What we commit to during beta

  • We will not upgrade the program in a way that causes loss of user funds
  • We will announce planned upgrades with reasonable notice
  • We will not change fees in a materially adverse way without notice
  • All upgrades will be publicly visible on-chain

These are commitments enforced by trust, not code.

Devnet reset risk

Solana Labs periodically resets the devnet, wiping all accounts. When this happens: all profiles are deleted, all handles cleared, all holds and purchase records gone, all devnet SOL gone.

Do not use devnet for anything of value. Devnet SOL has no monetary value.

Path to production

  1. Now: Single admin wallet holds upgrade authority
  2. Before mainnet: Authority transferred to Squads multisig
  3. After mainnet stabilization: Authority burned — program becomes fully immutable

Acceptance

By using the Service during beta, you acknowledge that the program can be upgraded and accept the additional risks described here.
