Terms of service

Please read these Terms carefully before using the vexo protocol, frontend, or documentation. By accessing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
1. Nature of the service
vexo is an open-source, non-custodial protocol deployed on the Solana blockchain. The Service provides a frontend interface for interacting with the vexo smart contract.
We do not: hold or custody any user funds, operate any backend server or database, have the ability to freeze or reverse any on-chain transaction, or store any user data beyond what is publicly visible on Solana.
All transactions are executed by you, signed by your wallet, and submitted directly to the Solana network.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old to use this Service. By using the Service, you represent that you meet this requirement and that your use complies with all applicable laws in your jurisdiction.
3. Self-custodial responsibility
You are solely responsible for: the security of your wallet and private keys, all transactions you sign and submit, understanding the protocol mechanics before using it, and any funds you lock, send, or receive.
Lost private keys cannot be recovered. Submitted transactions cannot be reversed.
4. No financial advice
Nothing in these Terms or in the operation of the Service constitutes financial, investment, legal, or tax advice. The vexo project is not a licensed financial advisor, broker, or investment advisor.
5. Protocol fees
- Payments: 0.5% of the payment amount
- Hold claims: 0.5% of the hold amount
- All other operations: No fee
Fees are defined in the on-chain Config account and are non-refundable.

7. Open source
The vexo frontend and program source code are available on GitHub. Anyone may inspect, fork, and run their own instance. Other instances of the frontend are independent of vexo and not governed by these Terms.
8. Prohibited uses
Vexo is an identity page with optional on-chain monetization. It is not a wallet, bank, broker, or payment processor. You are solely responsible for how you use the Service and for complying with all applicable laws and regulations in your jurisdiction.
You agree not to use the Service to:
- Violate any applicable law or regulation, including sanctions evasion, fraud, deceptive practices, tax evasion, or unlicensed financial activity.
- Engage in money laundering, terrorist financing, or any illicit financial activity, including attempts to obscure the origin or destination of funds.
- Misrepresent your identity or affiliation, including impersonation, false endorsements, or misleading claims.
- Distribute, promote, or facilitate unlawful, abusive, or harmful content, or enable illegal activity.
- Introduce malware, phishing, social engineering, or attempt to interfere with the integrity, security, or availability of the Service.
- Circumvent safeguards, limits, or enforcement mechanisms.
On-chain Reality and Front-End Access
The Service interfaces with public blockchain infrastructure, including the Solana network. Transactions executed on-chain are irreversible and cannot be blocked, modified, or undone by Vexo.
However, Vexo controls access to its front end and related services. If we determine, in our sole discretion, that your use violates these Terms or presents legal, security, or ethical risk, we may remove, disable, or restrict your profile, content, and/or access to the front end at any time, without prior notice.
Removal from the front end does not affect the existence of on-chain data or transactions.
Standards and Enforcement
We maintain a strict, ethics-first standard. We may investigate suspected violations and take appropriate action, including:
- Removing content
- Suspending or terminating access
- Limiting features
- Cooperating with law enforcement where required
We do not mediate disputes between users and do not guarantee recovery of funds under any circumstances.
By using the Service, you acknowledge that you bear full responsibility for your activities, content, and transactions, and that misuse may result in immediate loss of access to Vexo’s front end and services.
9. Disclaimers
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND. TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, VEXO EXPRESSLY DISCLAIMS ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED.
10. Limitation of liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, VEXO AND ITS CONTRIBUTORS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES.
11. Changes to terms
vexo reserves the right to modify these Terms at any time. Changes will be posted to this page with an updated date.
